HERAT ORIENTAL Handmade Khall Mohammadi Wool Runner (2’6 x 10′)

Originating from the Northern part of Afghanistan, this rug is a beautiful example of world art. Made of 100% wool using 100% vegetable dyes, this rug features red-colored fields and a lustrous finish, with a knot count per square inch of 250 and a pile height of 0.25 inches. The colors include red, navy, orange, and white, giving it a neat and tidy appearance that will enhance any room.
HERAT ORIENTAL has been providing beautiful, authentic, handmade rugs to Worldstock for over 10 years. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, and Iran. By growing with Worldstock, HERAT ORIENTAL is able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. The community thrives from rug weaving as the local farmers benefit from wool sales, and the local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
