Description
Khotan rugs were originally produced in the city of Khotan, which was located in Eastern Turkestan. Khotan villages produced beautiful rugs throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. The designs are characterized by geometric repetitive patterns. The designs are traditional and follow vintage patterns yet have a modern look for today’s homes. This particular rug was made by village weavers settled in central Afghanistan using traditional methods of weaving.
