The central fields usually have a warm floral-patterned medallion, and the colors are very warm and lively. However, geometric patterns are sometimes used, and many other colors besides red can be found. This rug was made circa 1880, and it is unusual for tribal people to weave such large rug. For this rug, weavers spent five years weaving. This rug is made of fine baby lamb’s wool and the dyes are all vegetable. It is currently believed to be the largest floor rug of its kind in the United States and we will provide the certificate of authenticity with a detailed description of the rug. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected.
