The process of rug making includes cleaning, washing and dyeing the wool, and then weaving the rug with vegetable-dyed wool. This rug is a true antique that gives any decor an elegant and refined look that is perfect for traditional spaces. This rug is hand-knotted to offer the best in quality and craftsmanship that continues to stand the test of time. The rich color scheme seamlessly fits into any decor, and the material is free of latex to guard against allergic reactions.
Features:
  • Handmade in Heriz
  • These tribal rugs are made of 100% wool pile and vegetable dyes.
  • The knot count per square inch for this rug is180.
  • The pile height is 0.25 inches.
Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come. The majority of the weavers are women, who live in the villages of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and India. As we grow, we are able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. The community also thrives from rug weaving as the local farmers benefit from wool sales, and the local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected.
