Bring a touch of luxury to your living space with this Handmade Afghan Oushak Wool Rug. The Afghan weavers have crafted this rug with high-quality hand-spun wool and pure vegetable dyes. With origins from Antique Turkish Oushak rugs, this unique piece of world art features a knot count of 250 knots per square inch and has a pile height of 0.25 inches.
This rug is made by Turkoman weavers in the Northern part of Afghanistan, as well as central Afghanistan by Hazara weavers. The weavers use natural and vegetable dyes such as madder, walnut peel, pomegranate peel, and sparak to create the beautiful colors. As this rug is handmade, the size may vary from the advertised size by 3-4 inches. Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your rug looking new for years to come.
